Upcoming Art Show at Fairfax Festival 2026
Live Painting, Originals & Limited Prints
I'll be set up at Bolinas Park for both days of the festival, June 13–14. Come see new originals, grab a print, and watch me paint live.
This year's booth will feature work from the Surf Art and Marin Wildlife series, plus a few surprises I've been holding back for this show.
The Story Behind the Poster
When I got the call that my design was selected for the 2026 festival poster, I was halfway through a completely different piece. I dropped everything. This was the one I'd been waiting for.
I approached it like a little Fairfax storybook — a blast-from-the-past collage of local icons, musicians, and characters, with tiny moments tucked into every corner. The kind of piece you can stare at for five minutes and still find something new.
The base is a 24"×36" birch panel. I started with a loose charcoal sketch, then built up layers of acrylic — heavy body for the figures, fluid acrylics for the sky gradients. The fine details — the lettering, the small faces, the hidden raccoon — are all hand-drawn with a quill pen dipped in India ink.
What to Expect at the Booth
I'll have originals from three series on display:
- Surf Art — large-scale wave paintings, acrylic on canvas
- Marin Wildlife — multi-layer stencil work on wood panels
- Illustrations — ink and watercolor on heavyweight paper
Prints will be available in multiple sizes, and I'll be signing everything on-site. If you want a custom commission, this is the best time to talk in person — I'm way more decisive with a coffee in my hand.
Fairfax Festival Poster — Limited Edition Print
